Open Alpha starts today for Blood Ancestors

August 1, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer Snowpeak Studio has announced that the open alpha for their upcoming team based melee combat multiplayer game Blood Ancestors is available on Steam.  This blood soaked medieval multiplayer will pit players against others in brutal combat.

Blood Ancestors takes players to a brutal medieval fantasy world where players fight in teams of 5 to capture and control the Relic, an ancient and powerful magical artifact bound to the eternal struggle between Light and Darkness.  Combatants will choose to fight for one of 3 factions and select from 18 different characters, each with their own unique playstyles.  From there, players can customise their warriors even more by choosing from over 150 skills to make a truly unique character.

The game features:

  • Fast-paced 5v5 multiplayer action.
  • High fantasy medieval world.
  • Brutal fights in melee combat.
  • Objective based gameplay.
  • Choose between 18 classes with different gameplay styles (6 in the Early Access release).
  • Create your own build by choosing 3 styles (offensive, defensive, utility) from a pool of more than 150 varied skills.
  • Extreme character customisation.
  • More than 6 multiplayer maps (3 in the Early Access release).

“We have always enjoyed first person team focused multiplayer, games like Team Fortress, Overwatch, Chivalry, among others have been inspirations to our small studio and we wanted to create something that was different but feels familiar at the same time,” Said David Broto, co-founder of Snowpeak studio.
