If you’ve not been on Overwatch for a while then the Overwatch Summer Games 2018 are the perfect reason to make a return. This limited time event will run for the whole of August and will feature a whole range of Summer Games 2018 items, including new skins and a new Lúcioball map. There’s also a chance to get all the items you may have missed in all previous Summer Games.
As well as previous Summer Games items the Summer Games 2018 event will feature more than 50 brand new items that can obtained from Summer Games Loot Boxes. These items include:
- Six new Legendary Skins including Cabana Ana, Fastball Zenyatta, Gridironhardt Reinhardt, Lacrosse Roadhog, Waveracer D.Va and Catcher Winston.
- Three new Epic Skins — Mexicana Sombra, Éireannach Moira, and Tre Kronor Brigitte.
- More than 200 themed cosmetics.
As well as all these items, players can also try their hand at the Summer Games-exclusive Brawl, Lúcioball. In this special mode each team pilots three Lúcios on one of three special arenas that makes use of his Wall Ride ability. These arenas are Sydney Harbour, Estádio das Rãs (Rio de Janeiro) and the all new Busan Stadium. Players will need to use a variety of melee attacks and sound waves to control the ball and use the new Turbo Boost Ultimate to win matches.
The Overwatch Summer Games 2018 will run until the 31st August.
