Chris Pratt, one of the stars of the Guardians of the Galaxy series, has commented that it’s “not an easy time” for him and the cast in the aftermath of James Gunn’s dismissal.
The firing of James Gunn, one of the most beloved directors in the MCU, for heinous and unbecoming tweets has certainly rocked the world of Marvel and no one is taking it harder than the cast.
The stars of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2 have already released a statement in support of Gunn and now Chris Pratt has commented to the AP about how everyone is feeling now that the dust has settled:
“It’s not an easy time. We all love James and he’s a good friend of ours, but we also really love playing the Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s a complicated situation for everybody. And you know, we just want to move forward and do what’s right and be the best people we can be.”
Whether or not Gunn will be re-hired, as some have speculated, or if Marvel decides to move on and find a new director for Vol. 3, remains to be seen. But it’s quite clear that Pratt and the cast would love nothing more than for Gunn to come back on board.
