David Faustino says Married… with Children spinoff could happen, with the original cast on board

July 30, 2015 by Gary Collinson

A couple of years ago, it was rumoured that Sony Pictures Television was developing a spinoff to the classic U.S. sitcom Married… with Children centred around Bud Bundy, and now David Faustino has suggested that the new show could happen, with his original co-stars also making appearances.

“Sony has it,” said Faustino at the premiere of his screen sister Christina Applegate’s (Kelly Bundy) new film Vacation. “They’re excited about it. They’re working out some legal issues that we hope they work out. The whole cast, including Christina, is down to do little bits in it. The idea would be a pilot for a spinoff. That’s all I can say right now. It involves me and few other people.”

Married… With Children was created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt and ran for eleven seasons on FOX between 1987 and 1997. In addition to Faustino and Applegate, the show stars Ed O’Neill and Katey Sagal as their parents, Al and Peggy Bundy.
