Richard Dreyfuss, one of the stars of the classic blockbuster Jaws, says that the film would be better if re-released with a digital shark.
There’s no question that Jaws is one of the landmark films in cinematic history. The terrifying flick from Stephen Spielberg about a murderous and monstrous shark has truly left its mark on movie history.
Jaws actor Richard Dreyfuss, however, thinks that the film would be even better if they got rid of the dated special effects and replaced the fake shark with a digital version. Speaking to Deadline, the actor said:
“I think they should do it, it would be huge and it would open up the film to younger people. Is that blasphemy? No, no, I don’t think so. The technology now could make the shark look as good as the rest of the movie.”
Messing with a classic like Jaws will certainly ruffle a few fans’ feathers but what do you think? Should Jaws be updated with a new digital shark?
