Rumour: Paul Bettany’s Vision to feature in the Scarlet Witch TV show

November 2, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Back in September it was announced that Marvel Studios is set to produce a number of limited series for Disney’s new streaming service revolving around characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch.

Well, it seems we may also be able to throw The Vision into the mix in the latter, as SlashFilm is reporting that Paul Bettany “will have a large part in the previously reported Scarlet Witch show” and “in fact, it may actually be a series more about the super-powered couple than just Wanda.”

Given the characters’ relationship, this does make complete sense – although it is complicated somewhat by the small matter of Vision’s death in Avengers: Infinity War. Of course, the series could well be set during the two-year gap between Captain America: Civil War and Infinity War, while Vision may yet find himself resurrected during Avengers 4, particularly as the rumours are that the plot will see Earth’s Mightiest Heroes using time travel to prevent Thanos from acquiring the Infinity Stones.

In addition to Scarlet Witch and Loki, it has been reported this week that Marvel is also planning a team-up series featuring Anthony Mackie’s Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier.
