David Harbour, one of the stars of Stranger Things, has revealed that the show’s ending is already decided upon.
Netflix’s Stranger Things is certainly one of the most popular shows of the day and fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of season three. However, we might be closer to the ending than first thought.
David Harbour says that he already knows where the show is heading and that he is aware of the story’s arc while not being sure exactly how many seasons it will take to tell. Speaking to CNET, the actor said:
“We’re either going to season 4 or season 5. It’s still being debated. I do know the arc of the story, though. This was something that I discussed with [show creators] the Duffer brothers right from Day One. I feel very proud of that because we’re not going to get sort of lost in our story and leave these strands. We’re going to tie things up. Like Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi have an arc to them; I think Stranger Things, be it season 4 or season 5, has an arc to it that I understand.”
TV veterans know full well the dangers of a show that plods along directionless with no end in sight, so many will be pleased to hear these comments from Harbour. However it ends, it seems like we will be pretty close to finding out once season three is done with.
