After securing a director this past week in Susanne Bier (The Night Manager), it is now being reported that HBO’s The Undoing has added Hugh Grant (A Very English Scandal) to its cast. with the British actor joining Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman (Destroyer) in the six-episode limited series.
The series will see Kidman taking on the role of Grace Sachs, a successful therapist with a devoted husband (Grant) and young son. However, weeks before the publication of her first book, her life is turned upside down. In the wake of a violent death, a missing husband, and a chain of terrible revelations, Grace is forced to dismantle the life she knew and create another for her child and herself.

The Undoing is based upon author Jean Hanff Korelit’s book You Should Have Known, with Big Little Lies’ David E. Kelley serving as writer and showrunner as well as executive producing with Kidman, Bruna Papandrea and Per Saari.
