J.K. Simmons, who played Commissioner Gordon in Justice League, has said that he doesn’t know when he will get to play the character again.
While not many people were in love with 2017’s Justice League, no one seems to have much of a problem with J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. But will we ever get to see the actor portray the character again? Perhaps in the long-gestating The Batman solo film?
Well, according to Simmons, it’s not looking too good as he doesn’t know when he will get the chance to play Gordon in another movie. Speaking to Collider, the actor said:
“Nothing has changed. There are conversations going on, that I’m not going to make public. As far as I know, there’s no opportunity, in the immediate future, for me to do more Commissioner Gordon, but I continue to be optimistic that it will happen again.”
While we don’t know what the cause for Simmons’ optimism is, fans of the actor can hope that something perhaps becomes of the conversations that he has mentioned. One perhaps shouldn’t expect for it to be anytime soon, however.
