Last summer it was reported that Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes are working on a new reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, and now we have an update from producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, who have revealed to Variety that they are hoping to get production up and running later this year.

Platinum Dunes’ Fuller, Form and Michael Bay were behind the last reboot of the Heroes in a Half-Shell, although 2014’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and 2016’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows were not well received by fans and underwhelmed at the box office. While details on this latest reboot are being kept under wraps, it has been reportedly previously that Andrew Dodge (Bad Words) is working on the screenplay.
