Young actor Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place) has become the latest addition to the cast of the HBO limited drama series The Undoing, where he’ll star alongside Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), Hugh Grant (A Very English Scandal) and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games).
Based on Jean Hanff Korelitz’s novel You Should Have Known, The Undoing follows “Grace Sachs (Kidman), who is living the only life she ever wanted for herself. She’s a successful therapist, has a devoted husband (Grant) and young son (Jupe) who attends an elite private school in New York City. Overnight a chasm opens in her life: a violent death, a missing husband, and, in the place of a man Grace thought she knew, only a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster, and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and herself.”
The Undoing is being directed by Susanne Bier (The Night Manager) from a script by David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies), with the latter serving as showrunner and executive producing with Bier and Kidman.
In addition to A Quiet Place, Jupe’s credits include Wonder, Suburbicon and Honey Boy, while he will also appear in James Mangold’s upcoming Ford v. Ferrari, where he’ll start alongside Christian Bale and Matt Damon.
