THR is reporting that Woody Harrelson (Solo: A Star Wars Story) has signed on to star in Fruit Loops, a new dramedy from writer-director Ted Melfi (Hidden Figures).
The film will tell the story of a group of mental patients who band together when their hospital is sold. Harrelson will take on the role of Colonel Leonard F. Cubby, a Vietnam veteran suffering from PTSD.
Harrelson is currently busy shooting Zombieland: Double Tap, the follow-up to the hit 2009 comedy Zombieland, and is also set to reprise his role as Cletus Kasady – a.k.a. Carnage – in Sony’s Venom sequel.
