Season 3 of H1Z1: Battle Royale starts on Playstation 4 on 21st February and developer Daybreak Games are going Beyond Royale with a free new expansion. This new expansion is the largest in the game’s history on PS4 and brings two new game modes, ranked leaderboards, a new 100 tier Battle Pass and much more. The free new update will introduce two new game modes, the first of these is Training Grounds where both vets and newcomers can hone their skills, master ranges and recoils and experiment with new loadouts. FFA Deathmatch Mode provides unique fast paced, massive scale combat that will see fifty players dropped into a tight arena with the aim to reach 25 kills before the timer runs out. This mode will provide instant respawns and a rotating arsenal of weaponry giving everyone a chance of securing victory.
Ranked Leaderboards will introduce a new ranking system this season and will be available for each of the core battle royale game modes. Leaderboards will track all the usual things you’d expect from a leaderboard but will also rank players across six tiers, these will start from Bronze and lead up to Master.
Among the other changes included are gameplay enhancements, attendence rewards, redesigned lobbies and the Season 3 Battle Pass which will feature 100 reward tiers and over 200 new cosmetic items.
