Liev Schreiber wants to be ‘Old Man Sabretooth’ in Wolverine 3

September 3, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Back in July, Hugh Jackman asked fans what they’d like to see in his upcoming X-Men swansong Wolverine 3, revealing the following month that there was plenty of support for Logan’s arch-enemy Sabretooth returning to the screen.

This prompted Liev Schreiber, who portrayed the character of Victor Creed in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, to tweet “do I have to do that…” in response to Jackman, leading some fans to assume that he’d be back for the 2017 movie.

Well, appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Schreiber was asked about his tweet, and whether it meant he’ll be reuniting with Jackman for the film.

“People have surmised that from my tweet, but I wasn’t. I was really just saying is that something I have to do as I get older. Is that how I approach middle age? Like that… What I heard was… I don’t know if I’m invited, but I heard that the storyline is Old Man Logan. And when I heard that, I thought, ‘Well, you know there’s Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth.’”

Would you like to see Liev Schreiber back as Sabretooth, or should the X-Men franchise steer as far away as possible from X-Men Origins? Let us know in the comments below…
