Deadline is reporting that Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast), Mia Kirshner (The L Word), Michael Aronov (The Americans) and Martin Donovan (Big Little Lies) have joined the cast of writer-director Nicholas Jarecki’s (Arbitage) thriller Dreamland.
The film will feature three colliding stories taking place in the world of opioids – “a drug trafficker arranges a multi-cartel Fentanyl smuggling operation between Canada and the U.S., an architect recovering from an OxyContin addiction tracks down the truth behind her son’s involvement with narcotics, and a university professor battles unexpected revelations about his research employer, a drug company with deep government influence bringing a new ‘non-addictive’ painkiller to market.”
The new additions join the previously announced Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour), Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name), Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man and the Wasp), Greg Kinnear (House of Cards), Michelle Rodriguez (The Fate of the Furious) and Lily-Rose Depp (Yoga Hosers) in the film, which is currently shooting in Montreal.
