BA Entertainment has announced that the upcoming South Korean film The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil is set to receive a Hollywood remake courtesy of Sylvester Stallone and his Balboa Productions company.
The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil is set to open in South Korea this month, and sees Train to Busan’s Ma Dong-seok playing a gangster who survives an attack by a serial killer and forms a partnership with a cop to hunt down the assailant.
Ma – who was recently cast in Marvel’s new superhero movie The Eternals – is on board to reprise his role in the U.S version, while Stallone will produce with Balboa’s Braden Aftergood along with Ma, Jang Won-seok of BA Entertainment, and Chris S. Lee of B&C Group.
The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil joins a growing list of projects set up at Balboa Productions, including the dark superhero thriller Samaritan and dirty cop TV drama The Tenderloin.
