ABC has announced that it has renewed its hit 80s-set comedy The Goldbergs for a seventh season, while the 90s spinoff Schooled will also be back for a second run, thought to be 13 episodes in total.
Created by Adam F. Goldberg and based on his own family growing up in the 80s, The Goldbergs sees Sean Giambrone starring as nerdy teenager Adam alongside Wendi McLendon-Covey and Jeff Garlin as parents Berverly and Maury and Troy Gentile and Hayley Orrantia as siblings Barry and Erica.
Spinoff show Schooled premiered this past January after a backdoor pilot in a 2018 episode of the main show, and follows the faculty of William Penn Academy, including Principal Glascott (Tim Meadows), Coach Mellor (Bryan Callen) and teachers Lainey Lewis (AJ Michalka) and Charlie Brown (Brett Dier).
