According to The Hollywood Reporter, Egerton’s post-Kingsman success is creating studio headaches similar to those caused by Jennifer Lawrence’s commitments to X-Men and The Hunger Games.
Lionsgate is looking to shoot Robin Hood: Origins with Egerton as the lead in February, but Fox’s plans to have Kingsman 2 in front of cameras around April could present a problem.
Fox is currently in prime position, given their sequel option on Egerton following the $412m worldwide gross of Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Insiders believe that the two studios will be able to come to an arrangement that will allow Egerton to do both films, firing the starting pistol on an exciting 2016 for the British star as he continues his meteoric rise.
