Starting from 26th September 2019, Wii U users will no longer be able to access Amazon Prime Video on their devices.
Prime Video users have been receiving emails regarding this news, yet offering a $25 credit towards a select range of Fire TV devices to stream the available content.
“Amazon will no longer be supporting the Prime Video app on your Nintendo Wii U console as of September 26, 2019. We are continually upgrading our service and this occasionally means we can no longer support certain device models,” the email reads.
“To help you to continue streaming your favourite content, we’re offering you a $25 credit towards select Fire TV devices which allow you to continue to stream your favourites from Prime Video.”
However, this offer ends on 1st November 2019, giving you four months to purchase a Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, or a Fire TV Cube using the given promo code.
Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch currently doesn’t support the Amazon Prime Video app, so you will have to find another way to watch your favourite content if you are a Nintendo console owner.
