Big Little Lies star Reese Witherspoon is set to star in the sci-fi feature Pyros, as well as producing the film with with Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Dark Phoenix).
Scripted by Thomas Pierce and based on his short story Tardy Man, the project revolves around “a group of augmented people who are fitted with indestructible fire suits that are fused to their spines. They work for a corporation that recovers objects for wealthy people when their houses are burning. It is strictly forbidden for them to veer from their salvage missions, even when other humans are in danger.”
Pyros is being produced by Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, and the package is said to have multiple offers on the table from studios, with the auction expected to close this week.
