Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, have revealed how they were approached to helm the two movies.
With Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame now in the bank, it’s safe to say that the Russo brothers have directed two of the biggest movies ever, impressing many by the finished result.
But how were the two men approached to make these massive movies? Well, during a recent Reddit AMA, one fan asked them this very question. Here is how the Russos responded:
“Kevin, and co-president of Marvel Studios, Louis D’Esposito, asked us to swing by their offices while we were in post on Civil War. The conversation, in short, was, ‘Guess what. We want to make the two biggest films ever made and we want to shoot them back to back. And we want you guys to direct them.’ Our response — ‘Fuck yeah.'”
