The finale to Supernatural is coming quickly upon us after 15 seasons by the time the show ends next year. After the shocking cliffhanger at the end of season 14, fans are wondering how the show will reach its conclusion and the fate of Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), and Castiel. Unfortunately, fans may need to temper their expectations after recent comments by Misha Collins.
In an interview with CinemaBlend, Collins – who plays the angel Castiel on Supernatural – has claimed fans need to prepare themselves for the final journey as the show won’t feature a happy ending fans are expecting.
“Yeah, we are picking up where we left off. So, sort of zombie apocalypse closing in on us. Having to deal with that problem, and having to deal with the death of Jack, which is really hard for all of us. You know, Dean is still mad at Cas, because Dean still thinks Cas is responsible for his mother’s death, and there’s just a lot of tension going into the final season. And it’s not gonna really let up. I can tell you that it’s not a real conventional happily-ever-after ending on this show.”
With Misha’s comments, will the brothers survive, or will they die in an effort to save the world? Although death is rarely permanent in Supernatural, but this is the final season so death could feature heavily by the end of season 15.
