Last month it was announced that UFC star Ronda Rousey will star in the lead role in the upcoming remake of the 1989 cult classic Road House, and now the film has secured a writer and director.
According to Variety, Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook, Alpha Dog) has signed on to helm the film, as well as penning the screenplay. It’s understood that MGM are fast tracking the project to shoot in early 2016.
As well as Road House, Rousey is set to headline her own biopic My Fight/Your Fight, along with The Athena Project and Mile 22.
