The Greg Berlanti-produced Strange Adventures and Green Lantern series aren’t the only original DC shows heading to HBO Max, as the streaming service has also granted a series order to the live-action half-hour comedy series DC Super Hero High.
The series is being executive produced by Elizabeth Banks (Charlie’s Angels) and Scott Weinger (Black-ish), and will focus on a boarding school for gifted children, attended by teenage versions of future legendary DC Super Heroes and Super Villains.
DC’s last foray into live-action comedy, the Vanessa Hudgens-headlined Powerless, was pulled from the schedule and cancelled by NBC with three episodes unaired, so let’s hope DC Super Hero High fares a little better…
