Good old Chun-Li, she had girl-power before it was a thing, was one of the earliest female heroes in videogaming history (Ms Pac-Man probably holds that honour), and was Street Fighter’s answer to Cynthia Rothrock, but now she’s joining forces with the Power Rangers in developer nWay’s Power Rangers: Legacy Wars to become Chun-Li Ranger. Watch the new trailer below to see more on Chun-Li’s hard hitting attacks.
In Power Rangers: Legacy Wars Chun-Li has joined forces with the Power Rangers to take on her arch nemesis M. Bison and his army of evil Rangers. For her to compete with this dastardly band of villains she has been given a Power Coin allowing her to become Chun-Li Ranger.
Chun-Li Ranger has the power of the Blazing Phoenix and her moves, consisting of Kasairyuu (Volcano Kick), Houohmai (Phoenix Dance) and Senhoukyaku (Thousand Phoenix Kicks), can set her enemies alight with a powerful blue phoenix fire.
Chun-Li isn’t the first Street Fighter character to make this leap to the Power Rangers: Legacy Wars universe as Ryu made his appearance last spring in one of the game’s most successful events. To celebrate this heroine’s arrival in the game, Ryu Ranger and the other previous Street Fighter characters, including Guile, M. Bison, Cammy and Akuma will be available for sale in-game again.
Power Rangers: Legacy Wars is available now on Google Play, Amazon App Store and the Apple App Store.
