On this week’s episode of The Pick of the Flicks Podcast, John McPhail – director of Christmas zombie musical Anna and the Apocalypse – returns to the hotseat to reveal his favourite festive movie. His choice is Richard Donner’s 80s cult classic Scrooged, in which the famous miser becomes Bill Murray’s douchebag TV exec. We discuss the relationship between Murray and Donner, the difficulty of telling the Charles Dickens story in a different way and, of course, the meanest Christmas fairy ever depicted.
