The vast library of the Disney+ streaming service is set to grow further after the announcement that one of the highest-grossing films of the year is joining the lineup next month.
After achieving financial success by reaching the billion-dollar mark, Guy Ritchie’s live-action remake of Disney’s Aladdin is set to join the ever-growing lineup of the newly launched streaming service.
The film features a cast that includes Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Naomi Scott (Princess Jasmine), Will Smith (Genie), Marwan Kenzari (Jafar), Navid Negahban (The Sultan), Nasim Pedrad (Dalia), Billy Magnussen (Prince Anders), Numan Acar (Hakim), Alan Tudyk (Iago) and Frank Welker (Abu).
However, this won’t be the only live-action Aladdin project in the future as Disney recently revealed an Aladdin spinoff revolving around the minor character Prince Anders, played by Billy Magnussen, is currently in development and is being eyed as an original Disney+ streaming title.
