Deadline is reporting that Will Ferrell is teaming with Netflix for a feature film based upon the streaming service’s documentary The Legend of Cocaine Island.
Ferrell – who recently wrapped another Netflix comedy in Eurovision – is set to produce and star in the film, which will see him as a small business owner and family man who learns of a legend of a buried stash of $2 million worth of cocaine hidden in the Caribbean, and sets out to retrive the loot with the held of a band of colorful misfits.
