CBS is celebrating a ratings hit with the premiere of Supergirl last night, with the latest DC Comics series pulling in 14 million viewers and a 3.2 rating among the 18-49 demographic, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Supergirl has set a ratings record for this fall for a new series, with the previous record holders being Life in Pieces with 11.3 million viewers and Blindspot with a 3.1 rating.
The show stars Melissa Benoist as Superman’s cousin Kara Zor-El, and joins an ever-growing list of live-action DC shows alongside Gotham, Arrow and The Flash.
