Mission: Impossible – Fallout actress Vanessa Kirby has confirmed that she’ll be reuniting with star Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie in the next two instalments in the blockbuster spy series.
Kirby – whose credits also include The Crown and Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw – confirmed to Glamour that she’ll be back as Alanna Mitsopolis, a.k.a. the White Widow, in Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8, which are set to shoot back-to-back this year.
Kirby joins fellow franchise alumni Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Henry Czerny in the sequels, along with new additions Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Dark Pheonix), Hayley Atwell (Avengers: Endgame), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), and Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire).
Mission: Impossible 7 is set for release on July 23rd 2021, followed by Mission: Impossible 8 on August 25th 2022.
