Although he’s currently tied up with principal photography on his next feature Nightmare Alley, Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro remains attached to his long-gestating Pinocchio adaptation at Netflix, and it seems we may now know the voice cast that he’s assembled for the stop-motion animated film.
During an appearance at a comic convention in Vienna (via The Playlist) Game of Thrones and Harry Potter actor David Bradley revealed that he’s set to voice the character of Geppetto, Pinocchio’s creator, and that he’ll be joined in the cast of the film by Christoph Waltz, Tilda Swinton, Ewan McGregor and del Toro regular Ron Perlman.
Del Toro has been planning an animated adaptation of Carlo Collodi’s classic tale for over a decade now, and while he’d seemingly given up on it by 2017, the following year saw streaming service Netflix announcing that it had given the project the green light. At this point, it’s unclear when we might expect to see it.
