February 21, 2020 by Andrew Newton

TaleWorlds Entertainment will be releasing Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord into Early Access on 31st March.  This anticipated sequel to the acclaimed game Mount & Blade: Warband will take place 200 years before the Calradia players are familiar with.  A new trailer can be seen below showing some of the locations and sounds that players will experience.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a prequel that takes players 200 years back in time from the world familiar to players of Warband.   This time periods sees the Calradian Empire on the verge of collapse and the remains of this once mighty and ancient empire are being fought over by several factions.  While these factions fight and squabble over the remnants of an empire than once dominated the entire continent, other factions try to take advantage of the chaos and gain power.

The acclaimed Mount & Blade: Warband has been praised for its deep gameplay and it’s effective combinations of action, RPG and strategy as well as providing a world where every player can create their own story.

The difference between life and death, victory and defeat, glory and misery, is as thin as your shadow, as sharp as your blade, as swift as your horse. The world is crumbling, and the spoils of its fall are at hand for men and women with wits, ambition and battle skills — people such as you. Your destiny is yours to decide.
