As the second season of Netflix’s new hit series The Witcher begins production, the show has cast several new faces for its upcoming season. Joining Henry Cavill in the action-fantasy will be Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones), Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders), Yasen Atour (Young Wallender), Thue Ersted Rasmussen (Fast and Furious 9), Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Girl), Mecia Simson (The Hunt) and newcomer Agnes Bjorn.
“The reaction to season one of The Witcher set a high bar for adding new talent for the second season,” said showrnner Lauren Schmidt Hissich. “Sophie Holland and her casting team have once again found the very best people to embody these characters, and in the hands of these accomplished directors, we’re excited to see these new stories come to life.”

Bullion and Atour will play fellow witchers Lambert and Coën. Rasmussen will play Eskel, Geralt’s friend from his youth, Ross will portray Lydia, a sorceress and Simson will be the preternaturally beautiful elf Francesca.
Returning alongside Cavill in the series is Anya Chalotra as the sorceress Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Geralt’s friend and bard Jaskier.
