Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard to headline Rules for Werewolves

February 29, 2020 by Matt Rodgers

Stranger Things, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and It star Finn Wolfhard has signed on to appear in Rules for Werewolves, a feature-length adaptation of a short film set to premiere at next month’s SXSW festival in Austin.

Deadline reports that Jeremey Shaulin-Rioux will begin shooting Rules for Werewolves sometime around the turn of the year, working from a script by playwright Kirk Lynn, who adapted the screenplay for the short-film from his own novel.

Told mostly in a single-take, the film “investigates the rituals and rhythms of a pack of wild teens as they break in and loot a new home, leaving someone (or something) behind for the cops to find.”

Schaulin-Rioux stated that “Rules For Werewolves is the kind of movie I’m desperate to see and dying to make, especially with the dream team of Kirk, Finn, our producing team, Boldly and co-star Kelcey Mawema. Premiering the short at SXSW is a very exciting way to share a glimpse of this amazing new world.”

The short will receive its world premiere on March 13th. You can watch a teaser here.
