The novelisation for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has revealed the last words shared between Ben Solo and Rey.
The relationship and connection between Rey and Ben Solo was a key component of the sequel trilogy and very popular with much of the fandom.
The two team-up one last time in The Rise of Skywalker to take on Emperor Palpatine, however, the power of the Sith Lord is too great. Ultimately, Ben sacrifices his life to bring Rey back from death.
With all the commotion going on during this epic scene, there wasn’t much time for the two to chat about Ben’s redemption or anything else. Fortunately, the film’s novelisation (via CBR) has revealed Ben’s last words to Rey:
“A voice came to her through the Force, clear and strong. ‘I will always be with you,’ Ben said,” the book reads.
This led to Rey’s response echoing her master, Luke Skywalker: “She smiled. Let the truth of it wash over her. ‘No one’s ever really gone,’ she whispered.”
