All you anglers best hold on to your rods as Ultimate Games has announced a sequel to the bestselling Ultimate Fishing Simulator. Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Playstation 4, as well as the next gen’ consoles in 2021. The game will release on Steam Early Access for PC in the second half of this year and will offer vastly improved graphics, a third-person view, and new dynamic water and fish AI systems. Check out some of the tranquil fishing spots in the new trailer below….
This second installment of the popular fishing simulator will feature numerous fisheries based on real locations and also a number of maps set during different seasons of the year, so if you fancy a spot of fishing during winter there’s no need to get kitted out in your winter woolies.
Virtual anglers will be able to try their hand at catching several dozen different types of fish and use various fishing techniques, such as spinning, float, ground, fly fishing, sea fishing, ice fishing and surfcasting. If that wasn’t enough, there will be new fish AI systems, making the whole experience more realistic.
Alongside numerous improvements, new dynamic water features, boats, skills and an extended multiplayer mode, there will be a simplified mode for new players who have not had previous contact with fishing, nor the fishing simulation genre.
“The fishing game, which we published almost two years ago, was very warmly received by the players. In Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 we are going to provide fun at an even higher level. We are preparing many improvements and various brand-new features. They are largely based on the feedback from the community that has formed around our game, for which we would like to thank you. Ultimately, our simulator will set a new standard for fishing games” says Mateusz Zawadzki, CEO of Ultimate Games S.A.
“We are planning more improvements and the introduction of a living fish system, based, among others, on the time of day. This way the fish will move around the entire fishery, but it will depend on some values. For example, a fish will move from point X to Y at feeding time, and during rest time it will seek shelter and swim from point Y to Z. ” – Rafał Jelonek, COO of Ultimate Games S.A.
PC gamers can look forward to the game releasing on Steam Early Access later this year.
