Bloodshot director to helm sci-fi adaptation Influx

April 21, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Having made his feature directorial debut on the Vin Diesel-headlined Bloodshot, filmmaker David S.F. Wilson has now found his next project.

As revealed by THR, Wilson is set to direct an adaptation of Daniel Saurez’s 2014 sci-fi novel Influx, with Zak Olkewicz (Fear Street) on board to script.

The novel follows “a physicist who is locked away in a high-tech prison just as he is about to make a startling breakthrough. The scientist soon discovers a shadowy organization has been keeping technological advances for itself and out of the hands of humanity at large, and he must find a way to team with his brilliant fellow prisoners to fight back.”

Influx is being produced by Escape Artists for Sony Pictures, which picked up the rights earlier this year.
