Oddworld Inhabitants Inc and Microids have announced they will be releasing Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee on Nintendo Switch on 14th May. This classic action adventure game, first released back in 2001, will initially be available via the Nintendo eShop but will have a physical release later this year. A new trailer can be seen below…
Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee follows the story of Munch, a member of the amphibious Gabbit species. Gabbits provide their evil captors with a variety of consumer products and as a result the Gabbit species is in rapid decline. Trapped in Vykkers Labs as a test subject, players are tasked with leading Munch through his prison to free other test subjects and then to freedom where he will meet Abe.
Munch and Abe will need to work together and players will have to switch between the pair making the best use of each of their special abilities such as psychic powers in order to accomplish their goals. For Munch, his aim is to bring back his species from the brink of extinction and for Abe it is to rescue his Mudokon friends that are held prisoner.
Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee will be available from the Nintendo eShop on the 14th May.
