This year’s San Diego Comic-Con International event may have been forced into cancellation by the global health crisis, but the organisers of the big geek culture celebration have announced that they will attempt to fill the void with ‘Comic-Con at Home’.
The news was revealed on social media, with SDCC posting a brief teaser video which promises “free parking, comfy chairs, personalized snacks, no lines, pets welcome, badges for all, and a front-row seat to Comic-Con @ Home.” Check it out here…

At this point, there are no further details as to what Comic-Con at Home will entail, but it seems safe to assume that fans will be treated to a ‘virtual’ convention experience with streaming panels, interviews and so on. Whether that will include any of the traditional big trailer reveals and announcements (and whether it will be available free), we shall have to wait and see…
The 2020 San Diego Comic Con International was scheduled to take place between July 23rd and July 26th, so presumably the At Home event will be taking place on or around those dates.
