James Cameron was recently telling a world that he’s king of that he still expected Avatar 2 to make its 2021 release date despite shooting delays. Well, now he has backed up his words with pictures, as the Avatar social media account tweeted a behind-the-scenes shot of Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Kate Winslet, and Cliff Curtis appearing to share a motion-capture bath in a pool of giant aqua beads on the set of the sequel.
From the set of the sequels: @ZoeSaldana, Sam Worthington, Kate Winslet, and Cliff Curtis taking a break from underwater performance capture for a quick photo!
Fun fact: Much of the performance capture took place in this 900,000 gallon tank, built specifically for the sequels. pic.twitter.com/NSfqoZ6jXJ
