Earlier this year it was revealed that Avengers star Chris Hemsworth is set to take on the role of the immortal Hulk Hogan in a biopic of the pro-wrestling icon, and now the actor has been chatting to Total Film about his preparation for the role.
As well as noting that he’ll be dying his hair and moustache and strategically shaving his head to replicate the look, Hemsworth also spoke about his preparation for the role, and how he plans to put on more size than he ever has for Thor as he looks to match Hogan’s signature 24-inch pythons brother.
““This movie is going to be a really fun project,” said Hemsworth.” As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical. I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor. There is the accent as well as the physicality and the attitude. I will also have to do a deep dive into the rabbit hole of the wrestling world, which I’m really looking forward to doing.”
