Last month it was announced that Edgar Wright has signed on to direct the kidnapping thriller The Chain for Universal Pictures, and now the British filmmaker has added a second project to his upcoming slate.
As revealed by Deadline, Wright is set to develop, produce and direct Stage 13, which is based on a short story from Simon Rich (Saturday Night Live) who is also scripting.
According to the site, the Amblin Partners production will follow “the ghost of a silent film-era actress that has haunted the titular soundstage of a backlot for decades. After a struggling director meets the ghost, they find an unexpected kinship and team to make their mark on the world.”
