Giancarlo Esposito, who plays the villainous Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian, says he did all his own stunts during season two.
It’s not very long now before Star Wars fans can experience season two of The Mandalorian. Giancarlo Esposito, the actor behind the show’s villain Moff Gideon, has certainly been doing his part over recent months to hype up the new season, and now he has revealed how hands-on he was with his stuntwork.
Speaking to Collider, the actor said: “I don’t want you to have any spoilers, but I did all my stuntwork on my own, without a lot of rehearsal, even though it’s a fairly big budget, technological piece with the volume and all the things that are going on. Sometimes that leaves less time to pay more attention to, and the stuntwork, by the way, has been with an Emmy nomination as well, to do that.”

Whether Moff Gideon has as many action sequences to contend with as the title character will remain to be seen but it sounds like fans can expect the villain to be in the thick of some exciting scenes when season two arrives.
The Mandalorian season two is set to premiere in October 2020 and sees the returning Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin), Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) and Bill Burr (Mayfield) alongside new cast additions Rosario Dawson (Daredevil), Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones), Katee Sackhoff (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Timothy Olyphant (Justified) and Michael Biehn (The Terminator).
