Michelle Monaghan to star in Brad Anderson psychological thriller Blood

September 27, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Michelle Monaghan (True Detective, The Path) is set to lead the cast of Blood, a new psychological thriller from Session 9 and The Machinist director Brad Anderson.

The film will see Monaghan playing Jess, “a separated mother and nurse who moves with her daughter and young son Owen back into her old family farmhouse. Shortly after settling in, Owen is bitten by the family dog, resulting in a mysterious infection from the bite. When Jess discovers a disturbing cure, she is tested on the extent she’ll go to keep her child alive.”

The Golden Globe-nominated Monaghan was last seen on the small screen in the Netflix thriller series Messiah, and has several film projects in the can including the upcoming Blumhouse reboot of the supernatural horror The Craft as well as the thriller Every Breath You Take.
