Deadline is reporting that Paramount Pictures is looking to reteam The Proposal co-stars Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock for Lost City of D, a romantic comedy action film in the vein of Romancing the Stone.
The film is being directed by Adam Nee and Aaron Nee (Band of Robbers), and will be produced by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses), who also developed the idea.
Bullock is on board to produce the film alongside Gordon, although neither she nor Reynolds are yet to close a deal to star, and the latter’s availability may prove to be an issue given that Paramount is looking to move ahead as a priority.
Reynolds and Bullock previously shared the screen in the hit rom-com The Proposal, which grossed almost $320 million worldwide upon its release in 2009.
