As Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo prep their next film The Gray Man, Deadline reports they have cast Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton), Billy Bob Thorton (Goliath) and Alfre Woodard (Luke Cage) in the action thriller.
The trio join Ryan Gosling (Blade Runner 2049), Chris Evans (Avengers: Endgame) and Ana de Armas (Knives Out) with Wagner Moura (Narcos), Jessica Henwick (Love and Monsters), Dhanush (D 43) and Julia Butters (American Housewife).
Based on a 2009 novel by Mark Greaney, The Gray Man will see Gosling taking on the role of freelance assassin and former CIA operative Court Gentry, a.k.a. the Gray Man, who finds himself hunted across the globe by a former CIA cohort Lloyd Hansen (Evans).
The Gray Man is written, produced and directed by the Russos, with their frequent Marvel collaborators Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely giving the screenplay a once over.
The film will be released on Netflix with the streaming service producing alongside AGBO, which will have the largest budget for a Netflix feature film. Production will start in Los Angeles in two weeks.
