Ten days after Daredevil premiere on Netflix, Marvel announced that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock would be getting a second season, but with a fortnight having passed since the arrival of Jessica Jones, there’s still no word as to the future of Alias Investigations.
Speaking to Variety, showrunner Melissa Rosenberg has revealed that she’s raring to reunite with Krysten Ritter, but is yet to hear whether Jessica will be back for season two.
“Me, personally – I’m ready to go. Marvel has a lot going on. So does Netflix. So I don’t know if a second season fits into this schedule, when, whether or not we’ll get one. I don’t know any of that. I personally, I’m ready to jump in now. I’ve had some time off. I needed some time off! It was a really hard run.”

Even if Marvel opts against a second season for the show, we will be seeing more of the character when Netflix assembles The Defenders, while it also seems likely she’ll pop up in the currently-in-production Luke Cage series.
Jessica Jones features a cast that includes Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad) as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter (The Following) as Luke Cage, David Tennant (Doctor Who) as Kilgrave / Purple Man, Rachael Taylor (Transformers) as Trish Walker / Hellcat, Eka Darville (The Originals) as Malcolm, Erin Moriarty (The Kings of Summer) as Hope, Wil Traval (Red Widow) as Will Simpson and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) as Harper.
