Last year, it was announced that Child’s Play creator Don Mancini was set to develop a TV series for Syfy, titled Chucky, and now, it seems like production has begun on the horror series.
Taking to Twitter, Mancini not only revealed that filming has started on Chucky this week but it will premiere on USA Network and Syfy later this year.

Brad Dourif is confirmed to once again return to voice the titular doll Chucky, after featuring in every single Child’s Play film instalment in the original timeline. Fiona Dourif, who played Nica in 2016’s Curse of Chucky, and its direct sequel 2017’s Cult of Chucky, is set to reunite with Mancini. Jennifer Tilly will also return to the franchise as Tiffany Valentine alongside Devon Sawa. Zackary Arthur, Teo Brione, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and Björgvin Arnarson.
Don Mancini is set to write and take on the role of showrunner on the series as well as directing the first episode. Franchise producer David Kirschner will also executive produce with Nick Antosca (Channel Zero) and Harley Peyton (Twin Peaks).
