The long-gestating Black Adam DC movie has added another two members to its cast as lead actor Dwayne Johnson confirms filming is set to begin in Georgia next week after spending years in development limbo.
According to Deadline, Broadway actor James Cusati-Moyer, who is currently nominated for a Tony Award after starring in Jeremy O. Harris’ Slave Play, has joined the cast in a currently undisclosed role. Cusati-Moyer’s other credits include Fox’s Prodigal Son and Hulu’s The Path.
Meanwhile, THR is reporting that Bodhi Sabongui (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Main Event) has been cast in an as-yet-unrevealed role, albeit once which is said to be “key to the Black Adam-DC canon.”
Additionally, Dwayne Johnson himself took to Instagram to show off his latest workout session for Black Adam – which he confirmed that production will officially start next week.

While we don’t know any plot details at this time, we do know Cusati-Moyer will star alongside Dwayne Johnson in the titular anti-hero role as well as Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Sarah Shahi as love interest Adrianna Tomaz, Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate and Marwan Kenzari as the main villain.
The Shallows and Jungle Cruise director Jaume Collet-Serra will helm the project, reuniting him with Johnson, who also starred in Jungle Cruise. Johnson will also serve as a producer with Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia.
