It was another fruitful night for Chloe Zhao’s Nomadland at the British Academy Film Awards, with BAFTA honouring the awards favourite with Best Film, Best Director (Zhao), Leading Actress (Frances McDormand) and Best Cinematography.
Other winners from this year’s awards include Promising Young Woman (Outstanding British Film, Original Screenplay), The Father (Leading Actor – Anthony Hopkins, Adapted Screenplay (Cinematography), Soul (Animated Film) and Another Round (Film Not in the English Language), while the EE Rising Star Award – voted for by the public – went to Rocks actress Bukky Bakray.
